About Perverse Incentives

Perverse Incentives is a sci-fi survival RPG where penniless Earthling Taira crash-lands on Equalis, a quarantined planet where men are scarce, and sperm fuels its economy. Now a top-tier resource, Taira’s biology becomes a target for manipulation, seduction, and greed as he navigates a world of economic sabotage, twisted relationships, and the moral cost of survival.

A World Built on Scarcity

1. The Equalis Virus Pandemic: A deadly virus has decimated male populations, making natural childbirth nearly extinct. The planet’s economy now runs on the “Sperm Standard,” where sperm is the currency, and men are treated as living vaults.

2. The Sperm Economy: Men like Taira command unprecedented power—every ejaculation is worth more than gold, and wealthy elites, governments, and black markets vie for control over his body.

3. A Closed Society: Equalis is a dystopian utopia, where advanced technology and strict social hierarchies mask desperation. Citizens wear biometric monitors to track resource use, and dissent is punished with exile.

Taira’s Dilemma

1. Survival vs. Exploitation: Taira must balance his sudden wealth with dangerous alliances. Classmates like seductive Ren, manipulative Mizuki, and ruthless Stephanie scheme to exploit his biological “gift,” testing his boundaries.

2. Moral Choices: Every decision impacts the economy—donating sperm aids the community, but selling it funds illicit ventures. A leaked line like “Get in loser, we’re rigging the stock market” hints at deeper conspiracies.

3. Identity Crisis: Is Taira a hero or a cog in a broken system? Players decide whether to weaponize his rarity or fight for autonomy, altering relationships and the planet’s fate.

Gameplay Mechanics & Themes

1. Resource Management: Manage Taira’s health, stamina, and “sperm reserves” strategically. Overuse risks physical collapse, while restraint limits wealth.

2. Dynamic Relationships: Romance, blackmail, or betray classmates, with dialogue choices affecting stock markets, political power, and Taira’s sanity.

3. Ethical Dilemmas: The story critiques capitalism and gender inequality through themes of bodily autonomy, systemic corruption, and the commodification of human biology.
