About Epistrefo

In Epis3D, you guide a young protagonist returning to their hometown after years away. The once-familiar streets now feel foreign, filled with changed faces, shuttered businesses, and whispers of the past. As you reconnect with old friends—or confront those who’ve moved on—you’ll navigate a web of choices that blur fantasy and reality. Will you rebuild what’s broken, chase illusions of your youth, or embrace the unexpected paths life offers? Your decisions shape a deeply personal narrative, blurring the line between coming home and finding yourself.

Gameplay

1. Freeform Exploration: Wander through meticulously detailed neighborhoods, interact with NPCs in dynamic conversations, and uncover hidden secrets tied to your character’s past.

2. Branching Narrative: Choices in dialogue, relationships, and quests influence the town’s evolution and unlock exclusive endings. For example, reconciling with a former friend might reveal a hidden family heirloom, while ignoring their pleas could lead to irreversible consequences.

3. Time-Flipped Mechanics: Encounter events that replay differently based on your actions, such as revisiting a childhood hangout that now hosts a rival gang or discovering a long-abandoned diary that alters your understanding of your family’s history.

Game Features

1. Immersive World-Building: The town’s layout, NPC schedules, and environmental details shift over time, reflecting your choices and the passage of seasons.

2. Dynamic Relationship System: Friendships deepen with shared activities like fishing or attending festivals, while rivalries emerge if you neglect key connections or make controversial decisions.

3. Metaphorical Puzzle Design: Solve abstract puzzles symbolizing your character’s inner struggles, such as restoring a broken fountain to symbolize mending relationships or rearranging scattered memories to unlock clarity.

Game Tips

1. Actively Listen to NPC Dialogues: Subtle hints in conversations (e.g., a bartender’s recurring mention of “the blue door”) often point to hidden locations or emotional plot threads.

2. Experiment with Different Timelines: Replaying the same area on subsequent visits can reveal new interactions or items.

3. Prioritize Small Gestures Over Major Decisions: Simple acts—like leaving flowers at a gravesite or helping a stranger—can unlock unexpected rewards or unlock new questlines later in the game.
