Gameplay Mechanics  

1. Resonance Grids – Link defensive towers via energy conduits to create overlapping buff zones (e.g., fire-rate boosts near quartz nodes), but ruptured grids trigger chain explosions.  

2. Mineral Metamorphosis – Feed Voidstone to structures to trigger random evolutions: watch archer towers grow acid-spitting coral or barracks spawn quake-generating golems.  

3. Horde Mimicry – Sacrifice resources to temporarily adopt Riftborn traits (toxic blood, seismic stomp), turning their strengths against them during wave lulls.  

Key Features  

1. Geomantic Sabotage – Manipulate the battlefield itself: fracture cliffs to crush advancing hordes or ignite methane geysers for area denial—terrain changes persist across rounds.  

2. Echo Units – Recruit fallen enemies as mercenaries using unstable Voidstone grafts, but their loyalty wanes with each deployment.  

3. Depthborne Events – Randomized subterranean disasters: magma surges reroute paths, while cave-ins reveal hidden mineral caches—or dormant Riftborn titans.  

Strategic Insights  

1. Overcharge to Betray – Let the Horde breach your first layer; their Voidstone saturation will backfire when you detonate overloaded conduits.  

2. Starve the Mutations – Avoid using quartz near water sources—it accelerates Riftborn evolution into amphibious horrors.  

3. Bait with Bounty – Leave unharvested Voidstone clusters in kill zones; Horde scavengers will cluster there, ripe for AoE attacks.
