About Deer in the Meadow

Deer in the Meadow is a strategic RPG set on Koslivadi, a world where all life manipulates one of seven elemental "Wills" to shape society, politics, and survival. Players navigate a dynamic ecosystem where control over these primal forces—from fire to void—dictates power, conflict, and alliances in a land where nature and magic intertwine.

The Seven Wills & the Hearts of Koslivadi

1. Elemental Mastery: Every creature is born with innate affinity to one of seven Wills: Growth, Flame, Frost, Storm, Earth, Void, or Soul. Each governs unique abilities, from healing crops to manipulating terrain.

2. Heart Territories: The planet’s seven "Hearts"—geographic epicenters of each Will—emit veins of energy across the land. Regions closer to a Heart amplify that Will’s potency, creating fertile zones, desolate wastelands, or volatile battlegrounds.

3. Balance & Conflict: Competing Wills clash unpredictably. For example, Frost and Flame may neutralize each other in battle, while Earth and Growth synergize to revive barren landscapes. Players must exploit these dynamics to thrive.

Society Built on Will

1. Faction Dynamics: Tribes, cities, and nations form around dominant Wills. A Flame-based faction might prioritize military might, while a Growth-aligned community focuses on agriculture and healing.

2. Political Power: Control over a Heart grants immense influence. Leaders may tax Will-based resources, declare war over territory, or broker alliances to stabilize fragile ecosystems.

3. Player Influence: As a Deer—a shapeshifting mediator—you can broker peace, spark rebellion, or exploit Will imbalances. Your choices reshape economies, shift alliances, and even alter the planet’s landscape.

Unique Gameplay Mechanics

1. Dynamic Worldbuilding: Koslivadi evolves in real-time. Overharvesting a Will’s resource depletes nearby veins, while strategic alliances can redirect energy to revive dying regions.

2. Strategic Resource Management: Manage Will-based resources like "Soul Essence" (for healing) or "Void Cores" (for technology). Scarcity or abundance of these drives social unrest or innovation.

3. Moral Choices with Consequences: Your decisions impact not just factions but the environment itself. Suppressing a Void clan might save a village from decay—yet unleash chaotic storms elsewhere.
