About Five Days

Step into the shoes of Marcy, a young woman filling in for her mother at a bustling hotel. Over five intense days, juggle chores, handle unpredictable guests, and make choices that shape her journey—from heartfelt connections to unexpected temptations. With multiple endings and a grounded story, this isn’t just a game—it’s a slice of life, with all its realism and complexity.

A Week of Responsibility & Revelation

1. Dynamic Daily Structure: Each in-game day introduces new tasks—making beds, managing front desk requests, and resolving guest disputes—all against a ticking clock. Prioritize efficiency to earn tips and praise, or cut corners to save time… but risk complaints or even penalties from your mother checking in remotely.

2. Characters with Depth: Guests aren’t just quest-givers; they’re layered personalities. Help a stressed business traveler find her lost wedding ring, calm a couple arguing over a canceled tour, or bond with a lonely artist sketching in the lobby. Your responses (kind, pragmatic, or assertive) alter their storylines and Marcy’s reputation.

3. Marcy’s Personal Growth: Through journal entries and phone calls with friends, Marcy reflects on her choices—whether she’s embracing independence or resenting the responsibility. Her wardrobe changes subtly reflect her mindset: professional attire for focused days, casual wear for relaxed moments, or something more daring if her confidence shifts.

Choices with Consequences: No Easy Answers

1. Three Core Endings with Nuanced Variations:

   - The Pure Route: Marcy upholds her integrity, earning respect from guests and her mother—but possibly missing out on risky opportunities.

   - The Deviant Route: She explores her curiosities, leading to passionate encounters… but also potential regrets or strained relationships.

   - The Balanced Path: A mix of responsibility and rebellion, resulting in an ending where Marcy finds maturity without losing herself.

Additional endings include a “Bad Ending” (fired, disgraced) or secret outcomes tied to hidden guest quests.

2. Realistic Adult Situations, Not Cliches: This isn’t a game where Marcy “sucks the delivery guy because she doesn’t have money.” Instead, intimate moments arise organically—flirting with a charming guest during a night shift, sharing a vulnerable conversation with a bartender, or exploring a mutual attraction that feels earned, not forced.

3. Butterfly Effect Design: Seemingly small choices ripple across days. Ignore a guest’s complaint on Day 1, and they might leave a scathing review by Day 3; help a shy novelist with her writer’s block, and she might dedicate her book to you. The game tracks over 50 decision points, ensuring no two playthroughs are identical.

Visuals & Atmosphere: Immersive and Authentic

1. Detailed Environment Storytelling: The hotel feels lived-in—cozy lobby couches, messy guest rooms, and a staff break room with leftover coffee and gossip. Seasonal weather (rain on Day 2, sunshine on Day 4) affects guest moods and Marcy’s energy.

2. Expressive Character Art: Marcy’s facial expressions shift subtly based on stress or joy, while guests display unique body language—a nervous fidget, a confident smirk, or tired slouches. Outfits aren’t just cosmetic; they signal character arcs (e.g., Marcy’s worn sneakers vs. heels she buys impulsively).

3. Sound Design That Sets the Mood: A soundtrack of ambient hotel noises (murmuring voices, ringing phones) blends with melodic piano themes during reflective moments. Voice-acted guest dialogues (where supported) add emotional weight to key scenes.
